Can Hubi write to my warehouse or only read?

What Hubi can do is bounded by the connected user's privileges. If the role is read-only it reads; any insert, update, or schema change stays within that account's grants and your approval.

Will a large query run without warning me?

Hubi uses the warehouse your account is set to, so compute follows your existing configuration. For big or unusual queries it can show you the SQL first so you can confirm before it executes.

Does my data leave Snowflake?

Hubi pulls back only the rows returned by the queries you ask for and summarizes them in chat. It does not bulk-export the warehouse, and what it sees is limited by the user's grants.

Can Hubi connect Snowflake results to my other tools?

Yes. You can chain it with anything else you've connected - for example, run a query and post the result to a channel or append it to a spreadsheet in one instruction.
