Hubi can reach whatever databases, schemas, and tables your assigned role and grants permit. If your role is read-only, Hubi reads; any write or DDL stays within your account's privileges and your approval.

Will Hubi run an expensive query without warning me?

Hubi works against the warehouse your connection specifies, so compute follows your existing sizing. For large or unusual queries it can show you the SQL first so you can confirm before it runs.

Does my data leave Snowflake?

Hubi pulls back only the result rows of the queries you ask for, which it summarizes in chat. It does not bulk-export your warehouse, and access is bounded by your role's grants.
