Does this need a paid Pingdom plan?

Pingdom is a paid product, and API access is tied to your subscription. Hubi authenticates with an API key you generate in Pingdom, so whatever your plan includes is what Hubi can reach.

Will Hubi change or pause my checks without asking?

No. Reading status and history runs freely, but anything that creates, edits, or pauses a check is proposed for your approval first so monitoring is never silently turned off.

How current is the data Hubi reports?

Pingdom polls your checks on the interval you set, so Hubi reports the most recent result available - typically within a minute or a few minutes depending on your check frequency.

Can Hubi tell me when something goes down instead of me asking?

You can have Hubi read recent alerts on a schedule or when prompted, then post a summary to a channel you choose. Pingdom's own alert delivery still runs in parallel.

Can Hubi connect a Pingdom outage to my other tools?

Yes. Once a check fails, Hubi can chain that into another connected app - for example, opening an incident ticket or messaging your team - in a single instruction.
