How does Hubi authenticate to my topics?

Hubi connects with an access token you generate in ntfy. Its reach is limited to the topics and actions that token is granted, so a read-only token cannot publish and a topic-scoped token cannot touch others.

Will Hubi spam a topic without my say-so?

No. Hubi publishes the specific notifications you ask for. If you set up a standing rule to alert on certain events, it follows that rule, but it will not blast a topic on its own.

Can Hubi push alerts from my other connected tools?

Yes. You can chain ntfy with anything else you have connected, so an event or result from another app can be formatted and pushed to your ntfy topic in a single instruction.
