How does Hubi connect to the Address Validation API?

Hubi authenticates with a Google Cloud API key that has the Address Validation API enabled in your project. Usage is billed through your Google Cloud account based on the number of addresses you check.

Does Hubi change my stored data on its own?

Only where you ask it to. Hubi returns the validated and standardized address for you to review, and writes the corrected version back to a sheet or record only when you tell it to.

Can Hubi tell me why an address failed validation?

Yes. The API returns component-level detail, so Hubi can point to the part that is unconfirmed or missing - for example an unrecognized street number - rather than just saying the address is invalid.

Can I validate addresses as part of a larger flow?

Yes. You can chain validation with other connected tools, for example 'validate the shipping address on every new order before it reaches fulfillment' so bad addresses get caught automatically.
