Does Hubi change my research data, or only read it?

It does both. Reads and searches run freely, but when Hubi creates a note, insight, or tag it drafts the change first so you can confirm before anything is written to Dovetail.

How does Hubi authenticate with Dovetail?

Hubi connects with a Dovetail API token you generate in your account. Its reach is limited to the projects and data that token's scope covers.

Can Hubi pull direct quotes or just summaries?

It can do either. Ask for verbatim highlights and Hubi returns the actual quotes Dovetail stored; ask for a synthesis and it summarizes across them instead.

Will Hubi keep customer data confidential?

Hubi only accesses your Dovetail data to answer the request at hand and acts within your token's permissions. It doesn't move research into other tools unless you explicitly ask it to.

Can findings flow into my other connected tools?

Yes. You can chain Dovetail with anything else you've connected - for example, turn a recurring insight into a task in your tracker or a message to your product channel in one instruction.
